Ever wondered what it feels like to breathe underwater? A try dive is the easiest way to find out: no course, no certification, and you don't even need to be able to swim. After a short theory briefing you dive with a Hungarian instructor in the crystal-clear Red Sea, where coral gardens and colourful fish await at just 5–10 metres.
You spend the day on the same boat as our certified divers: we leave the Hurghada marina at 8:00 and sail to shallow, sheltered reefs. Your instructor stays within arm's reach the whole time – diving with at most two guests at once – and the depth never exceeds 10–12 metres.
After the first dive, a hot lunch and some rest await on deck, and if you're hooked, you can make a second dive the same day. Many of our guests decide right after their try dive to complete their SSI or PADI beginner course with us.

For anyone aged 10 or over in good health who wants to try scuba diving in a safe setting – no diving background or swimming skills required. Ideal for holidaying families, couples and adventurous beginners.

Your day, step by step
- 07:15–07:45Hotel pickup
Our driver picks you up at your Hurghada hotel and takes you to the marina.
- 08:00Departure and theory briefing
The boat sets off while your instructor explains the equipment, breathing and hand signals.
- 09:30Gearing up and first dive
Gear check and practice at the surface, then a 20–30 minute guided dive to max 10–12 metres.
- 11:30Lunch and rest
Hot lunch on board, sunbathing or snorkeling above the reef.
- 13:00Second dive (included)
If you're hooked, you dive again at another reef – noticeably more confident this time.
- 16:00Return
Back at the marina, then transfer to your hotel.
Requirements
- Minimum age 10
- Completed medical statement (some conditions require a doctor's certificate)
- Basic comfort in the water – no swimming skills needed, just no fear of water
- No flying within 18–24 hours after diving
Safety
A try dive is the most closely supervised form of diving: at most two guests per instructor, depth never beyond 10–12 metres, and your instructor stays right beside you at all times. The boat carries oxygen and a first-aid kit, and our instructors are first-aid trained.

Frequently asked questions
No. Your gear keeps you afloat at the surface, and underwater your instructor is beside you the whole time, controlling the dive. What matters is that you feel basically comfortable in water and don't panic with your head below the surface.
The first dive typically stays at 5–8 metres and we never go deeper than 10–12. A try dive lasts 20–30 minutes – just enough to fall in love with the underwater world without getting tired.
Everything: hotel transfer, the full boat day, the theory briefing, 1–2 guided dives with all equipment, hot lunch, water, tea and insurance. Booking is free with no deposit – you pay on site by cash or card.
Yes, from age 10. With children our instructors always dive 1:1, shallower and for a shorter time, at the child's pace. Parents can snorkel above us meanwhile – or do their own try dive.
Of course! Your non-diving companions can spend the day on the same boat as snorkeling guests for €35: while you dive with the instructor, they admire the same reef from the surface.
A try dive doesn't grant a certification by itself, but it's the perfect first step: you experience the basics and your instructor gives personal advice on continuing. If you're hooked, you can take an SSI or PADI beginner course with us.
