At forty-two I tried diving for the first time in my life, and I never would have believed it would go this well. In three days we saw a turtle, a huge Napoleon wrasse and even a bluespotted ray – our dive guide always knew exactly where to look for them. Lunch on the boat was fresh and generous every day. Everything really was included in the package price, just as promised. I can only recommend them!

„An intense four days, but worth it”

If you think the OWD is relaxation during a holiday, I have to disappoint you: for four days we studied, practiced and dived from morning to afternoon. For me that pace was a bit much alongside a family holiday, hence the four stars. In return, though, I truly learned to dive rather than just receiving a card. I cannot say a bad word about the teaching – it was professional and thorough.

The drift adventure dive felt like flying: I simply hovered while the reef rolled past me like a film. Our instructor timed the dive perfectly with the current, and I never felt unsure for a moment. After the advanced I cannot wait to reach deeper sites. An unforgettable two days!

My son talked me into this try dive and I just went along with it – then it turned into one of the best days of my life. Everything was explained thoroughly in Hungarian, and there were no hidden costs whatsoever, the price really included everything. The lunch on the boat was delicious too, and the crew looked after us the whole time. To anyone putting it off because of their age: don't!

I travelled to Hurghada alone and was a little worried about how it would go. Needlessly: the Hungarian team treated me like family from the first minute, and they looked after me on the boat the whole time. Both dives were beautiful, and on the second reef we even met a turtle. I have already recommended them to my girlfriends.

„My husband is not a diver – it was perfect for him too”

My husband does not dare to dive, so we were looking for a program we could enjoy together – this was the perfect choice. Floating above the reef we saw so many colorful fish that my husband has been telling everyone about it ever since. On the way, a pod of dolphins even escorted the boat. The crew was kind and attentive; next year we are coming back with the kids.

„From Upper Hungary to the Red Sea”

We set off from Košice, and it meant a lot that I could do the whole course in Hungarian. I was very nervous before the exam, poring over the tables late at night, but our instructor went through so many practice questions with me that in the end it went smoothly. On the last dive a huge Napoleon wrasse swam past us – I could not imagine a more beautiful graduation.

„Six weeks that changed my career path”

During the six weeks of the divemaster training I learned more about diving than in all my time before. The internship was no stage prop: I worked with real guests, gave briefings, drew a reef map, and gradually came to understand the boat logistics too. Our instructors gave honest feedback throughout, which sometimes stung but always pushed me forward. By the end I had changed both as a diver and as a person.

„Ticked off the bucket list”

Diving had been on my bucket list for ages, and I could not have started in a better place. The transfer arrived at the hotel right on the minute, and on the boat all the equipment was fitted to me. On my very first dive I saw more fish than ever before in my life. The OWD is coming on my next trip, that is for sure.

I had dived twice before in Sharm el-Sheikh, and I admit I was sceptical whether Hurghada could compete. It could: over the five days we covered the most beautiful reefs, and the organization was smoother than on any of my previous Egypt trips. It was a special joy to handle everything in Hungarian. Ten beautiful dives went into my logbook.

„Finally in control of my buoyancy”

I came back for the advanced a year after my OWD, and got exactly what I needed. Since the buoyancy control dive I finally do not flail around – I actually hover, and my air lasts longer too. And the deep dive along the Giftun wall was simply gorgeous. Thank you, team!

„Depth, with respect”

I was nervous before the deep specialty, because the world below 30 metres had always commanded my respect. Our instructor reinforced exactly that respect: detailed planning, double checks, clear signals – and meanwhile the most beautiful walls of the Red Sea. The narcosis exercise at depth was genuinely eye-opening. I became a better-prepared and calmer diver.

„Early wake-up, but worth it”

The only thing I can hold against them is that we left the hotel at dawn – on holiday that hurt a bit. In return we were the first to reach the reef and dived almost alone around Giftun. The organization was otherwise flawless, and our dive guide was professional and attentive. All in all it was well worth the early wake-up.

„We came from Cluj and found Hungarian words”

We travelled to Hurghada from Transylvania, and it was a special joy to be able to speak Hungarian out at sea too. I snorkeled together with my daughter, and we were both enchanted by the colors of the coral reef. The crew helped with everything – they even adjusted my mask properly. We recommend them with all our heart, from both sides of the border!

„Confidence that stays with you out of the water”

The rescue course was the biggest challenge of my diving life so far, but the feeling at the end made up for every sore muscle. In the panicked-diver exercise I froze completely at first, then after many repetitions every move came automatically. Special thanks that we could discuss the scenarios in Hungarian, so nothing was lost in translation. I came home a more confident person, not just a more confident diver.

„Wrecks I had only seen in films before”

Wrecks had always drawn me, but until now I had only seen them in documentaries – this time I took in the El Mina with my own eyes. Our instructor first had us practice handling the guide line at the surface, so down below everything came naturally. The life teeming around the wreck, the lionfish and the clouds of glassfish put on a show of their own. Since the specialty I have been dreaming about the Thistlegorm.

„The perfect way to get back into it”

After an eight-year break I was afraid of how rusty my skills had become. On the first day our dive guide went over everything with me again, and by the time we reached day three I felt underwater like I used to. Three days were just enough to get my confidence back. A professional, patient team.

„E-learning at home, the experience at sea”

I completed the theory at home via e-learning, so in Hurghada we were almost always in the water – that worked out great. The mask clearing exercise freaked me out at first, but our instructor patiently repeated it with me until it became routine. In the end I scored above 90 percent on the exam. I would start over anytime, the atmosphere was that good.

„First aid I will actually use”

I took the EFR course as preparation for the rescue, but I realized it is worth gold in everyday life too. We practiced CPR on the dummy until I could do it woken from my sleep, and we tried all the bandaging as well. Our instructor brought the material to life with plenty of real-life examples. Since then I feel more confident about first aid even at my workplace back home.

„It showed me something new even after 150 dives”

I have dived in Thailand and the Maldives as well, yet I was surprised how professionally everything runs here. Small groups, a proper briefing, and our dive guide genuinely adapted to our level. Even in February the water was 24 degrees and the reefs were full of life. If you are looking for sunshine and good diving in winter, come here.

„The night dive stole the show”

I admit the night dive was what I feared most, yet it ended up being my favorite: I will never forget the sight of lionfish hunting in the torchlight. The five adventure dives were all different, and I learned something from each one. Our instructor's calm, thorough style helped a lot. We are already planning the next trip!

„The best 180 euros I have spent on diving”

I put off nitrox for a long time because it felt like an unnecessary extra – I was wrong. At Small Giftun we could stay down minutes longer than the group diving on air, and the surface intervals were easier too. The theory was clear and our instructor answered every question I had. From now on I will dive nitrox whenever I can.

„Even a windy day could not spoil it”

Out of five days one turned out quite choppy, and a few of us suffered on the ride out – that is why it is not five stars. Everything else I can only praise: that day the team flexibly picked a more sheltered reef, and on the other days we dived at stunning sites. Thanks to the briefings in Hungarian I felt safe throughout. We will be back!

„A solid dive, rocky entry”

The entry into the water was rocky and a bit slippery, which is why I am only giving four stars – more info about that in advance would have been nice. The dive itself, however, was surprisingly beautiful: we saw a moray, a lionfish and lots of coral fish. Our instructor watched over me the whole time and adjusted the pace to me. For this price it is still an excellent program.

„Smarter than doing it at home”

For a long time I considered doing my OWD in Croatia, but I am glad I ended up here: I learned at a better price, in warmer water and with far more fish. On the third dive everything clicked – from then on I was no longer fiddling with the equipment, just taking in the view. The water was pleasant even in January. I can only recommend the Hungarian team.

„With them for the third time”

This was the third time I dived with them, and that is exactly why I keep coming back: consistent quality, no nonsense. The organization was perfect in December too, and the returning-guest discount was a pleasant surprise. The Red Sea is in top form even in winter. Next year I am doing the deep specialty with them.

The two days of the advanced were quite packed: with three dives a day I was exhausted by evening, and on the deep dive I would have loved to stay down longer – though I know the time limits are not up to the organizers. The wreck adventure dive at the El Mina, however, was a huge experience, and I learned a lot from the navigation tasks too. Overall a strong, useful course in good hands.

„Five days, five different worlds”

The greatest strength of the five-day package is the variety: coral gardens, steep walls, a drift dive, and the El Mina wreck at the end. Across ten dives there was not a single moment where we saw the same thing twice. The team arrived punctually at the hotel every morning, and we returned with new experiences every evening. The best investment of my year.

During the rescue course I fell into bed exhausted every night – and every morning I could not wait to continue. After the rescue exercises, the panicked-diver simulations and the surface tows I look at diving completely differently: I can now take responsibility not only for myself but for my buddies too. Our instructor was tough as nails but always fair. I would make this course mandatory for everyone.

„The experience of my life”

At the first breath underwater I got a little scared, but our instructor held my hand until I calmed down. After that only wonder remained: corals, schools of fish and the endless blue. I never would have believed that a single morning could change me this much. Thank you to the team for everything!

„From fear to a diving license”

On the first day in the pool I nearly gave up – I panicked when water got into my mask. Our instructor did not rush me; we practiced until I said myself that we could move on. On day four, during the open water exam dive, I was the one pointing out fish to my buddy. If I managed it, anyone can – with instructors like these, for sure.

„I have been to 38 metres”

On the deep specialty we reached 38 metres, and along the way I learned what depth does to the body and the mind. The color test was my favorite: what looked red at the surface turned grey down there, then came back to life in the torchlight. Our instructor planned every step thoroughly and I felt safe throughout. A new dimension opened up for me, literally.

„The Red Sea is another league”

I have been diving in Croatia for years, but the Red Sea is simply another league: 30-metre visibility, pristine corals, masses of fish. Between the two dives we got a delicious lunch on the boat, and the equipment was nearly new and well maintained. Our dive guide knew exactly where to look and what for. Unbeatable value for money.

„Everything is different at 30 metres”

The deep dive of the advanced course was the highlight: at 30 metres the colors, the light, the whole world is different. On the navigation dive the compass felt hopeless at first, but by the end it went like clockwork. Before every dive our instructor explained thoroughly what to pay attention to. I came home a much more confident diver.

„Finally in Hungarian!”

I was terrified of the water, but the briefing in Hungarian gave me a sense of security I never thought possible. Our instructor patiently walked me through everything step by step, and we practiced in shallow water first. When I saw my first clownfish, I forgot I had ever been afraid. I can only recommend it to anyone who feels unsure!

„A lovely day, reef time a bit short”

The water was crystal clear, we saw loads of fish, and the kids loved it too. My only regret is that in my opinion we spent too little time on the second reef – I would have happily swum another half hour. Regardless, it was a well-organized, pleasant trip, and the lunch on the boat was tasty. Next time I might try the intro dive as well.

„From hobby to vocation”

After ten years of office work I decided to take diving more seriously and signed up for the divemaster course. During the weeks of internship I saw every side of the profession: from filling tanks at dawn through escorting guests to handling unexpected situations. It was tough, but the best decision of my life. To anyone considering it: here they truly prepare you for the real thing.

I will never forget my first breath underwater – strange, scary and wonderful at the same time. I was really nervous about the exam, but our instructor prepared me so well that in the end it went smoothly. In four days I became a confident diver, and on the open water dives I could simply enjoy the view. One of the best decisions of my life!

„More time down, less fatigue”

I completed the nitrox specialty in a single day alongside my dives, and felt the difference immediately: longer bottom time on the reef, and in the evening I was not as tired as after air dives. We analyzed the tanks ourselves with the analyzer, so it did not remain mere theory. I would make this course mandatory for anyone who dives a lot.

„We swam with dolphins!”

Between the two dives, at the Dolphin House, a pod of dolphins suddenly appeared and circled around us for minutes. I thought I was dreaming – even our dive guide said that what happened to us was not an everyday thing. The diving itself was beautiful too, but because of the dolphins I will never forget this day.

„Afternoon dive, back at the hotel by evening”

I only had half a day left of my holiday, and the shore dive was the perfect choice. No waiting for a boat: we walked into the water, and a few minutes later we were floating among the fish of the house reef. There is surprisingly much life right off the shore. Cheap, simple, great.

„The kids still talk about it”

We went snorkeling with two kids (aged 8 and 11), and the crew paid special attention to them the whole time. The life vests, the patient introduction and the Hungarian spoken on the boat all made sure they were safe. When we saw the parrotfish, the little one squealed with joy through the snorkel. On the way home they were already asking when we would come again.

„The El Mina captivated me”

As part of the wreck specialty we dived the El Mina twice, and this wreck simply captivated me. The lionfish hover above the gun mounts as if they were guarding the ship – a surreal sight. We learned how to use the reel and the basics of safe penetration, everything step by step. History and diving at once – there is no better combination.
