Yes. With the Búvárkodás Hurghada team everything happens in Hungarian: the briefing, the theory lessons, the hand-signal review and the guided dives. No safety information gets lost in translation, so you can dive with much more confidence.

We pick you up at your hotel between 7:15 and 7:45, the boat leaves the marina at 8:00. During the day we make two dives at two different reefs (an optional third dive is available for +€15), with a hot lunch, water and tea on board. We return to the marina around 16:00 and drive you back to your hotel.

Yes – you don't need to know how to swim for a try dive. The instructor stays within arm's reach the whole time and your equipment keeps you afloat at the surface. For open-water courses (e.g. Open Water) basic swimming skills are required.

Both systems are internationally recognised, and the certification you earn with us is accepted by dive centers worldwide. Course content and safety standards are nearly identical; SSI's digital learning materials are free, while PADI is the most widely known brand. We offer both at the same price and are happy to help you choose.

Before diving you fill in a short medical questionnaire. Asthma, heart or lung conditions, ear or sinus problems and pregnancy require a doctor's clearance or may rule out diving. If you're unsure, just ask us in advance – we'll tell you exactly what to expect.

You must not fly within 18–24 hours after diving, because the nitrogen dissolved in your body increases the risk of decompression sickness. Plan your last diving day for the day before departure – we double-check this at booking.

Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen (ideally reef-safe), sunglasses and your certification card if you're a certified diver. All diving equipment is provided or available to rent. The boat has a shaded rest area, freshwater shower and toilet.

Booking is free with no obligation and we don't ask for a deposit. You pay on site in cash (EUR, USD or EGP) or by card. Returning guests get a 10% discount; contact us for group and instructor rates.

Yes. Try dives are available from age 10, and the Junior Open Water course can also be started at 10. Snorkeling is great for younger kids too – we provide life vests and child-size equipment on board.

You can dive in Hurghada all year round. The water is 27–29°C in summer and 22–24°C in winter, with visibility typically 15–30 metres. Spring and autumn have the most pleasant weather, winter brings quieter reefs, and summer has the warmest water – there is no bad season.

You don't need your own equipment. Courses and try dives include everything, and for daily diving you can rent a full set for €15/day (3 days: €40, 5+ days: €10/day). Tanks and weights are always included.

Our boat departs from the Hurghada marina every morning at 8:00. Hotel transfer is free anywhere in Hurghada (El Gouna and Makadi Bay possible for a surcharge) – give us your hotel name at booking and we'll confirm your exact pickup time.
