1 / 9The Open Water Diver is the world's most popular diving course – and there are few better places to take it than the Red Sea. Instead of practising in a cold lake, you learn in crystal-clear 25–29°C water above coral reefs, with clownfish and parrotfish around you from your very first training dive.
The course runs in Hungarian (English also available): theory, shallow-water skills and all four open-water dives. Our instructors teach both SSI and PADI – the two certifications are equivalent and accepted worldwide, the price is the same, and the choice is yours.
At the end you receive an international certification for life: dive to 18 metres at any dive center in the world, rent tanks, and continue to the Advanced level. Everything is included – materials, equipment, boat days, lunches, transfers and certification.
Who is it for?
Anyone from age 10 who wants to become a certified diver. No prior experience needed – basic swimming skills and good general health are required. Ages 10–14 receive the Junior Open Water certification.

Boat day: morning skill practice, then your first two real reef dives to 12 metres with your instructor at your side.

Frequently asked questions
Usually 3–4 days. If you complete the e-learning theory at home in advance, it comfortably fits into 3 days – leaving most of your holiday free.
Whichever you prefer: we teach both systems at the same price. The two certifications are equivalent and accepted at every dive center in the world.
With the Open Water Diver certification you can dive to 18 metres anywhere in the world with a buddy or guide. The next level, Advanced Open Water, extends this to 30 metres.
No problem – everyone progresses at their own pace. Your instructor practises the skill with you in calm, shallow water until you're confident. There's no time pressure; the goal is a safe, confident diver.
Yes – from age 10 children can earn the Junior Open Water certification, valid to 12 metres and automatically upgraded to a full OWD at 15. Kids get extra attention and often train together with a parent.
Really. The €390 covers materials, equipment, all dives, boat days with lunch, transfers and the certification fee. Many centers charge these separately – with us the listed price is the final price.

What our guests say

„The best 18th birthday present”
I got the course from my parents for my 18th birthday, and I could not have received a better present. I finished the e-learning at home, and out there we were at sea every single day. On my first open water dive I was surrounded by so many fish I did not know where to look. I am now officially a diver, and next year I am coming back for the advanced!
„An intense four days, but worth it”
If you think the OWD is relaxation during a holiday, I have to disappoint you: for four days we studied, practiced and dived from morning to afternoon. For me that pace was a bit much alongside a family holiday, hence the four stars. In return, though, I truly learned to dive rather than just receiving a card. I cannot say a bad word about the teaching – it was professional and thorough.
„From Upper Hungary to the Red Sea”
We set off from Košice, and it meant a lot that I could do the whole course in Hungarian. I was very nervous before the exam, poring over the tables late at night, but our instructor went through so many practice questions with me that in the end it went smoothly. On the last dive a huge Napoleon wrasse swam past us – I could not imagine a more beautiful graduation.
„E-learning at home, the experience at sea”
I completed the theory at home via e-learning, so in Hurghada we were almost always in the water – that worked out great. The mask clearing exercise freaked me out at first, but our instructor patiently repeated it with me until it became routine. In the end I scored above 90 percent on the exam. I would start over anytime, the atmosphere was that good.
„Smarter than doing it at home”
For a long time I considered doing my OWD in Croatia, but I am glad I ended up here: I learned at a better price, in warmer water and with far more fish. On the third dive everything clicked – from then on I was no longer fiddling with the equipment, just taking in the view. The water was pleasant even in January. I can only recommend the Hungarian team.
„From fear to a diving license”
On the first day in the pool I nearly gave up – I panicked when water got into my mask. Our instructor did not rush me; we practiced until I said myself that we could move on. On day four, during the open water exam dive, I was the one pointing out fish to my buddy. If I managed it, anyone can – with instructors like these, for sure.
