What our guests say
„My partner loved it too”
My partner and I dived together for the first time, and it was a huge experience for both of us. Special thanks for the photos our instructor took of us underwater – we have been showing them to everyone ever since. The whole day ran smoothly, from the transfer to the very last minute. Same place next year!
„We just got home and would already go back”
We got home yesterday, but we are already wondering when we can go back. Over the five days we had a drift dive, a reef with caves and swim-throughs, and a wreck too – there was not a single boring minute. The lunches on the boat were different and delicious every day. This was our best holiday so far.
„The best 18th birthday present”
I got the course from my parents for my 18th birthday, and I could not have received a better present. I finished the e-learning at home, and out there we were at sea every single day. On my first open water dive I was surrounded by so many fish I did not know where to look. I am now officially a diver, and next year I am coming back for the advanced!
„I never thought I'd dare”
At forty-two I tried diving for the first time in my life, and I never would have believed it would go this well. Our instructor was beside me the whole time and explained everything in Hungarian, so I never felt lost for a second. Swimming among the corals was like walking on another planet. We are coming back next year with my wife, and I have already picked out the OWD course for myself!
Frequently asked questions
Yes. With the Búvárkodás Hurghada team everything happens in Hungarian: the briefing, the theory lessons, the hand-signal review and the guided dives. No safety information gets lost in translation, so you can dive with much more confidence.
We pick you up at your hotel between 7:15 and 7:45, the boat leaves the marina at 8:00. During the day we make two dives at two different reefs (an optional third dive is available for +€15), with a hot lunch, water and tea on board. We return to the marina around 16:00 and drive you back to your hotel.
Yes – you don't need to know how to swim for a try dive. The instructor stays within arm's reach the whole time and your equipment keeps you afloat at the surface. For open-water courses (e.g. Open Water) basic swimming skills are required.
Both systems are internationally recognised, and the certification you earn with us is accepted by dive centers worldwide. Course content and safety standards are nearly identical; SSI's digital learning materials are free, while PADI is the most widely known brand. We offer both at the same price and are happy to help you choose.
Before diving you fill in a short medical questionnaire. Asthma, heart or lung conditions, ear or sinus problems and pregnancy require a doctor's clearance or may rule out diving. If you're unsure, just ask us in advance – we'll tell you exactly what to expect.
You must not fly within 18–24 hours after diving, because the nitrogen dissolved in your body increases the risk of decompression sickness. Plan your last diving day for the day before departure – we double-check this at booking.
