Quick answer:The snorkeling trip in Hurghada costs €35: the boat runs 8:00–16:00 with 2–3 reef stops and guided snorkeling. Gear (mask, fins, vest), hot lunch and hotel transfer are included. Suitable for children from age 6 with life vests provided – and ideal for non-diving companions of divers, who travel on the same boat.

You don't need to be a diver to see the wonders of the Red Sea: the most beautiful part of Hurghada's reefs lies in the first few metres, where the sunlight shines in. While snorkeling you'll find coral gardens, clownfish and parrotfish – and with luck a turtle or dolphins gliding below you – all in 15–30 metres of visibility.

The day runs just like the divers' day: we leave the marina at 8:00 and stop at 2–3 different reefs. A trained guide swims with you in the water, showing you the prettiest corners of the reef and keeping everyone safe. Between stops, a hot lunch and a shaded rest await on deck.

This trip is also a favourite of non-diving companions: while your partner or child dives below, you snorkel on the same boat above the same reefs – and at the end of the day you swap stories together. Kids get life vests and can splash safely in the sheltered, shallow lagoons.

Who is it for?

For anyone who wants to see the Red Sea marine life without diving: companions of divers, families with kids (from age 6), and anyone after a beautiful day at sea. Unsure swimmers get a vest.

  • Basic swimming skills or using the vest we provide
  • Children from age 6 with parental supervision

Kid-friendly with life vests, shallow lagoons and patient guides.

  • Same boat as the divers

As a companion you share the divers' day – just from the surface.

  • Crystal-clear water

With 15–30 m visibility you see deep from the surface – the reef's life unfolds beneath you.

Frequently asked questions

Basic swimming skills help, but everyone gets a vest that keeps you safely afloat. The guide swims with the group the whole time and we pick sheltered, calm sides of the reef – so even unsure swimmers can enjoy the day safely.

Hotel transfer, the full boat day with 2–3 reef stops, guided snorkeling, the gear (mask, fins, vest), hot lunch, water and tea. Booking is free with no deposit – you pay on site by cash or card.

Yes, the snorkeling trip is genuinely family-friendly: we recommend it from age 6 and bring child-sized masks and life vests. At the shallow, sheltered lagoons kids watch the fish from the surface close to the boat, and the guides match their pace.

Conditions allowing, we include the Dolphin House reef, where bottlenose dolphins often appear. They're wild animals, so we can't promise an encounter – but the coral gardens, fish shoals and rays make the day unforgettable even without them.

Yes – that's exactly the point: snorkelers and divers travel on the same boat and visit the same reefs. While your partner dives below, you can follow their bubbles from the surface – and by lunch you're already swapping stories.

Swimsuit, towel, sunscreen (ideally reef-friendly), a hat for the sun, and a waterproof camera if you have one. Everything else – gear, lunch, water, tea – is provided on board.

My husband is not a diver – it was perfect for him too

My husband does not dare to dive, so we were looking for a program we could enjoy together – this was the perfect choice. Floating above the reef we saw so many colorful fish that my husband has been telling everyone about it ever since. On the way, a pod of dolphins even escorted the boat. The crew was kind and attentive; next year we are coming back with the kids.

We came from Cluj and found Hungarian words

We travelled to Hurghada from Transylvania, and it was a special joy to be able to speak Hungarian out at sea too. I snorkeled together with my daughter, and we were both enchanted by the colors of the coral reef. The crew helped with everything – they even adjusted my mask properly. We recommend them with all our heart, from both sides of the border!

A lovely day, reef time a bit short

The water was crystal clear, we saw loads of fish, and the kids loved it too. My only regret is that in my opinion we spent too little time on the second reef – I would have happily swum another half hour. Regardless, it was a well-organized, pleasant trip, and the lunch on the boat was tasty. Next time I might try the intro dive as well.

The kids still talk about it

We went snorkeling with two kids (aged 8 and 11), and the crew paid special attention to them the whole time. The life vests, the patient introduction and the Hungarian spoken on the boat all made sure they were safe. When we saw the parrotfish, the little one squealed with joy through the snorkel. On the way home they were already asking when we would come again.
